	PHARYNX:（咽頭・いんとう）
	（http://www.nlm.nih.gov/cgi/mesh/2003/MB_cgi?term=Pharynx&field=entry） A funnel-shaped fibromuscular tube that conducts food to the ESOPHAGUS, and air to the LARYNYX and LUNGS. It is located posterior to the NASAL CAVITY; ORAL CAVITY; and LARYNX, and extends from the SKULL BASE to the inferior border of the CRICOID CARTILAGE anteriorly and to the inferior border of the C6 vertebra posteriorly. It is divided into the NASOPHARYNX; OROPHARYNX; and HYPOPHARYNX (laryngopharynx). 咽頭（PHARYNX）は、食道（ESOPHAGUS）へは食物の通路となり、また、喉頭（LARYNYX）と両肺（LUNGS）へは空気の通路となる漏斗状の形をした繊維筋肉の管である。 鼻腔（NASAL CAVITY）、口腔（ORAL CAVITY）、喉頭（LARYNX）の後方に位置しており、頭蓋底（SKULL BASE）の下から頚椎の前を下行して第六頚椎、輪状軟骨（CRICOID CARTILAGE）の部分まで続いている。 鼻咽頭・咽頭鼻部（NASOPHARYNX）、口咽頭・咽頭口部（OROPHARYNX）、下咽頭・咽頭喉頭部（HYPOPHARYNX）に分かれる。
	LARYNX:（喉頭・こうとう）
	（http://www.nlm.nih.gov/cgi/mesh/2003/MB_cgi?term=Larynx&field=entry） An irregularly shaped, musculocartilaginous tubular structure, lined with mucous membrane, located at the top of the trachea and below the root of the tongue and the hyoid bone. It is the essential sphincter guarding the entrance into the trachea and functioning secondarily as the organ of voice. 喉頭（LARYNX）は粘膜に覆われた筋肉軟骨の管構造をしており、気管の上、舌根・舌骨の下に位置している。気管への入口を守る括約筋であるが、発声気管としての役割ももっている。
